NDIS
Through this scheme individuals with significant and permanent disability are funded to achieve personal goals and community connection.
This includes speech therapy to aid & also maintain skills such as; speaking, listening, understanding, reading, writing, interacting, using voice, eating & drinking.
Adolescents & adults with developmental language disorder such as clients with cerebral palsy, down syndrome, brain injury, autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability. To improve education, employment, mental health & social participation.
Funding to support the assessment and provision of mealtime guidelines for eating & drinking.
Funding to support the assessment and provision of assistive technology such as Alternative Augmentative Communication systems (AAC).
CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT PLANS
Speech Pathology services provided under a GP led Chronic Disease Management Plan includes;
Language and/or swallowing difficulties related to:
- physical &/or intellectual disability,
- brain injury
- stroke
- progressive neurological disease (eg. Parkinson’s, MND)
Loss of voice, cannot talk loudly or has poor voice quality due to :
- laryngeal dysfunction or
- head and neck surgery or
- progressive neurological disease
Cognitive communication or swallowing problems due to:
- dementia or
- aging
PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS
Advance Speech Pathology services are eligible for rebates from your private health fund. Ask your insurance provider to find the rebate amount, and the maximum amount you can claim per person/ family in a calendar year.
Advance Speech Pathology offers on the spot claims & payments through the electronic HICAPS system. Take the hassle out of getting your rebate.
